Despite serious lingering questions about the true ownership of the "MINT 400" name and a lawsuit filed by the Board of Directors of the former operator of the event for the last three years, Casey Folks yesterday, told OFF-ROAD LIVE!,

"There will be a press release out in a couple days".

Relating rumors of several sanctioning bodies claiming rights over the name and the event, "MINT 400", the Best In The Desert captain, Folks, did not comment on the claim of Roger Norman, that Norman was 'working on' the permits of the historic event or the insider rumor that a 'death threat message board-video company owner', had control of the event rights along with the Martelli family.

The Martelli family, Mad Media of north county San Diego, California, has claimed ownership recently, after members of the Board of Directors of SNORE, admitted the sale of the naming rights.Questions about "other rights", linger. Shortly after the announcements, the lawsuit was filed against former members of the board, who left after the sale and joined Roger Norman in the formation of HDRA, a new racing organization.

HDRA announced shortly after the sale of the 'mint rights', that they were moving into Nevada to produce races, ones that resembled SNORE events.

No proof of the lawsuit being withdrawn has been found in a recent search of court records.

In Folks stating a press release would be issued soon, support for the MINT 400 as a functioning viable entity by his racing association is the lone trail that could remedy and rehabilitate the event status from 'DEAD' to 'on life support'.

BLM (Bureau of Land Management) approvals still block the race from a green flag start from next years running.
