TECATE BEER JUMPS TO CORR RACING!

Tecate Beer and RA Motorsports announces their plans for the 2008 CORR short course series season opener in Pomona, CA.

RA Motorsports driver, Rodrigo Ampudia is ready to roll the dice and battle for the much competed Pro-Lite Championship. This will be a very busy year for him, since he will be driving in both the Pro-Lite and Pro-2 series. This year will be his rookie season driving the Ford Pro-2 truck, which has just attracted a new major sponsor to the team.Mexico’s leading brand, Cerveza Tecate and RA Motorsports signed a multi-year deal to help the efforts of Papas & Beer Racing and support their CORR race program along with selected desert events. Beginning in rounds 1 & 2 at the L.A. Fairplex Track, RA motorsports Pro-2 #36 and Pro-Lite #36 will be carrying Cerveza Tecate logos on the familiar red and white Papas & Beer Ford trucks. Beginning his 3rd year in the Pro-Lite ranks, young gun Rodrigo Ampudia is ready to compete and contend for the season championship. Rodrigo, who began his race career in the desert has been recognized as a threat in any race he enters. In 2006 he won the super bowl of short course racing at Crandon skyrocketing his career from pretender to contender. Last year Rodrigo honed his driving skills as he continued winning select races and began his plans to compete in the Pro-2 ranks, which is one of the most competitive classes in short course racing.

Rodrigo commented: “We are really excited to begin this season now that Cerveza Tecate has come on board to support our race program in addition to our other sponsors like Monster Energy Drink, BFGoodrich Tires. We feel this is going to be a great season and we want to claim the Pro-Lite Championship and be a top contender in Pro-2.” RA Motorsports has also announced the addition of a second Pro-Lite truck for Rodrigo’s younger brother Alan. This probably will be the first time that a Trophy Kart driver steps up to the professional CORR division. The crew is working on the last minute details of his Papas & Beer Pro-Lite #38 Ford Ranger.With their three guns ready to be fired, RA Motorsports is ready to start their activities in the CORR season opener this season.
