Menzies Motorsports Announces 2008 CORR “Super Team”
Las Vegas (February 25, 2008) – The new kids on the block, along with a couple veterans, will soon comprise a “super team” in the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) series. Steve Menzies, owner and founder of Menzies Motorsports, will direct a new team in 2008 consisting of superstar Rob MacCachren, rookie sensation Bryce Menzies, CORR rookie Bryan Freeman and veterans Bruce Fraley, Larry Job.
“I have always had a passion for off-road racing and this is the ultimate opportunity to be involved,” said Steve Menzies. “First and foremost, I want our drivers to have a great time winning races. Everyone on our team loves to race and it is my plan to keep it fun.”
MacCachren, a native of Las Vegas, will anchor the Menzies Motorsports team as a Pro-2 driver in a Ford F-150 and a Super Buggy driver. A superstar in every right, MacCachren is considered to be one of the top off-road racers in the world and one of a few racers who has won championships in the desert and on closed courses. Throughout his long and successful racing career he has built an impressive resume with 33 CORR wins. In 2001, MacCachren became the only driver to win four championships in four different series—SCORE, CORR, BitD and SNORE. He was also part of the team that won the overall championship at the 2007 Baja 1000.
“I am very happy to be a part of this team,” said MacCachren. “Steve wants to win and he knows what it takes to win. If there is a piece of the puzzle missing, he will find it and do whatever it takes to keep our team on top. He has already put together a great group of people and we don’t even start racing until May.”
Bryce Menzies, Steve’s son, is the youngest racer on the team. With only a year of racing under his belt, he has already won the 2007 Single Buggy Championship and was named 2007 Rookie of the Year. In 2008, Menzies will drive a Ford Ranger in the Pro-Lite class.
Fraley has nearly 30 years of racing experience, including three wins at the Baja 1000 in the 1600 class. He also was named SCORE Mechanic of the Year three years in a row from 2001 to 2003. In 2007, he finished second place for the Single Buggy class, trailing Menzies. He will pilot a Ford Ranger in the Pro-Lite class for 2008.

Job began his racing career in 1977 at the age of 16 and that same year, he won his first championship at SNORE, won the overall SNORE points championship and placed in the top five at every race. Over the course of his 30+ year career, he has developed a reputation for winning. He received the Toyota Milestone Award in 1995 and has won championships in SNORE, SCORE and BITD. He will drive the Alumacraft Buggy in the Super Buggy class.
Freeman is also a native of Las Vegas and has been off-road racing for 11 years, but will be a rookie in the CORR series. His greatest racing accomplishment was his solo win in the 1600 class at the 2005 Baja 500. Freeman will pilot the Fraley Buggy in the Single Buggy class.
